Wash Care


General Wash Care Notes

* Always check the care label and wash care instructions for your garment before washing.

* Wash garments with similar colours.

* Do not tumble dry garments unless stated on the care label.

* Check care label instructions before ironing.

* Always iron prints on reverse side.

* Always turn your garment inside out before washing.

* Rinse garments until water runs clear after hand-washing.

Wash Care Symbols

Washtub Symbol The wash-tub symbol shows the garment is suitable to be washed.
Washtub - Temperature Symbol The number inside the symbol shows the temperature the garment should be washed at, on a normal wash cycle.
Washtub - One bar Symbol The washtub with one bar underneath means the garment should be washed on a synthetic cycle.
Washtub - Two bars Symbol The washtub with two bars underneath means the garment should be washed on a wool cycle.
Handwash Symbol The garment should be hand washed only.
Not Suitable for Washing Symbol The garment is not suitable for washing.

Dry Cleaning Symbols

Dry Clean Only The circle shows the garment should be dry cleaned.
Dry Clean using a Perchloroetheylene Solvent The garment can be dry cleaned using a perchloroetheylene solvent.
Dry Clean using a Petroleum Solvent The garment can be dry cleaned using a petroleum solvent.
Dry Clean with any Solvent The garment can be dry cleaned using any solvent.
Not suitable for Dry Cleaning The garment is not suitable for dry cleaning.

Drying Symbols

Garment can be Tumble Dryed The box with a circle shows the garment can be tumble dried.
Tumble Dry on Low Heat The garment should be tumble dried on a low heat.
Tumble Dry on Medium Heat The garment should be tumble dried on a medium heat.
Tumble Dry on High Heat The garment should be tumble dried on a high heat.
Garment is not suitable for Tumble Drying The garment is not suitable for tumble drying.
The Garment should be Drip Dried The garment should be drip dried.
The Garment should be Line Dried The garment should be line dried.
The Garment should be laid flat to dry he garment should be laid flat to dry.

Ironing Symbols

Safe to Iron The iron symbol shows it is safe to iron the garment.
Iron on Low Setting Iron on a low setting, 110ºC, ideal for acrylic, nylon and acetate.
Iron on Medium Setting Iron on a medium setting, 150ºC, ideal for polyester and wool.
Iron on High Setting Iron on a high setting, 200ºC, ideal for cotton and linen.
Do Not Iron The garment is not suitable to be ironed

Bleaching Symbols

Safe to Bleach It is safe to use any commercial bleaching laundry product if necessary.
Do Not Bleach Do not bleach.
