General washcare notes

* Always check the care label and washcare instructions for your garment before washing

Washcare symbol

The washtub symbol shows the garment is suitable to be washed.


The number inside the symbol shows the temperature the garment should be washed at, on a normal wash cycle


The washtub with one bar underneath means the garment should be washed on a synthetic cycle.


The washtub with two bars underneath means the garment should be washed on a wool cycle.


The garment should be hand washed only.


The garment is not suitable for washing.


Dry Cleaning Symbols


The circle shows the garment should be dry cleaned.


The garment can be dry cleaned using a perchloroetheylene solvent.


The garment can be dry cleaned using a petroleum solvent.


The garment can be dry cleaned using any solvent.


The garment is not suitable for dry cleaning


Drying Symbols


The box with a circle shows the garment can be tumble dried.
The garment should be tumble dried on a low heat.


The garment should be tumble dried on a medium heat.


The garment should be tumble dried on a high heat.


The garment is not suitable for tumble drying.


The garment should be drip dried.


The garment should be line dried.


The garment should be laid flat to dry.


Ironing Symbols


The iron symbol shows it is safe to iron the garment.


Iron on a low setting, 110?c, ideal for acrylic, nylon and acetate.


Iron on a medium setting, 150?c, ideal for polyester and wool.


Iron on a medium setting, 200?c, ideal for cotton and linen.


The garment is not suitable to be ironed


Bleaching Symbols


It is safe to use any commercial bleaching laundry product if necessary.


Do not bleach.
