CREATIVE OPERATIONS MANAGER


Position: Creative Operations Manager
Department: Creative
Location: London-based - go into the London office twice a week at least
 

Job Summary: The Creative Operations Manager is a detail-oriented and strategic professional responsible for optimising the efficiency, workflow, and collaboration within the creative team. By implementing streamlined processes, managing resources, and facilitating communication, the Creative Operations Manager ensures the seamless execution of creative projects from concept to delivery. This role requires a unique blend of organisational skills, creative insight, and project management expertise to drive the creative team's success.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Process Improvement:
-  Evaluate current creative processes and workflows, identifying bottlenecks and opportunities for optimisation.
-  Develop and implement efficient project management methodologies, tools, and systems to enhance team productivity and project delivery.

Resource Management:
-  Allocate creative resources (designers, copywriters, freelancers, etc.) effectively to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
-  Collaborate with HR and team leads to identify skill gaps and implement strategies for talent development and growth.

Project Coordination:
-  Act as the central point of contact for project initiation, tracking, and execution, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed.
-  Create and manage project schedules, milestones, and deadlines to ensure on-time delivery.

Cross-functional Collaboration:
-  Foster collaboration and communication between the creative team and other departments, such as marketing, product development, and sales.
-  Facilitate meetings, brainstorming sessions, and feedback loops to ensure all teams are aligned on project goals and requirements.

Performance Metrics:
-  Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of creative processes.
-  Regularly analyse and report on KPIs to identify areas for improvement and track the team's progress.

Budget Management:
-  Collaborate with finance and project managers to develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately and projects are delivered within budget.

Tools and Technology:
-  Research, implement, and manage creative project management tools and technologies that enhance collaboration, workflow, and communication within the team.

Quality Control:
-  Establish and enforce quality control processes to ensure that all creative deliverables meet brand standards and objectives.

Team Development:
-  Provide mentorship and guidance to team members on project management best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

-  Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Design, or a related field (Preference, not a necessity)
-  Proven experience of 3+ years in project management, operations, or a related role within a creative or marketing environment.
-  Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
-  Proficiency in project management software and tools.
-  Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
-  Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
-  Ability to balance creative thinking with practical operational execution.
-  Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a cross-functional team.
-  Familiarity with creative software and design principles is a plus.
-  Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and accuracy.
-  Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage unexpected challenges.

As the Social Media and Content Manager at Motel, you will be at the forefront of shaping our brand's online identity and engaging with our global audience. You will drive the creation and curation of captivating visual and written content across various digital platforms. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a comprehensive social media and content strategy that aligns with the brand image and business objectives.

Plan and execute paid social media advertising campaigns, optimizing for 

maximum reach, engagement, and conversions.

Analyze key social media metrics and produce regular reports, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Stay updated on emerging social media platforms, algorithm changes, and digital marketing best practices to ensure our strategies remain cutting-edge.

Drive innovative content concepts, including interactive experiences, competitions, and immersive storytelling, to deepen customer engagement.

Ensure consistent brand messaging, visuals, and quality across all digital touchpoints.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Fashion, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven track record in a Social Media and Content Manager role within the fashion industry, showcasing successful digital campaigns and content creation.

Strong passion for and understanding of fashion trends, aesthetics, and consumer behavior.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and creative storytelling.

Deep knowledge of social media platforms, analytics, and trends.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Experience with e-commerce platforms and online retail strategies in the fashion industry is a plus.

ECOMMERCE ADMINISTRATOR 

Full-time role, Worcester office.

We are looking for an organised and sociable individual to join the small team to help with the administration of our websites. The ideal candidate should have a high level of attention to detail, able to spot and rectify mistakes, fill out missing information where necessary and use their logic skills to troubleshoot simple website presentation issues. They should be hard working and passionate about e-commerce and able to work as a part of a team and show strong initiative in problem solving. Ideal candidate will need:


Main duties and responsibilities

The role will include but not limited to.
  -   Filling out product specifications and assigning the relevant subcategories
  -   Online Visual Merchandising
  -   Managing digital content on all online channels, ensuring everything is uploaded and merchandised on time
  -   Content creation for product listings. Writing unique product descriptions and other product specifications and upload to multiple online marketplaces
  -   Optimising product information
  -   Building Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok Ads across all regions
  -   Responding and managing DM’s on social platforms
  -   Building weekly company reports for the E-commerce Manager

Skills required

   -   Strong administration and organisational skills
  -   Ability to self-manage and meet targets
  -   Competent in Microsoft office, including excel and word
  -   Good interpersonal skills
  -   Basic knowledge of SEO
  -   Strong interest in fashion
  -   E-commerce experience preferably Shopify back-office knowledge
  -   Copywriting to be handled with a high level of competency in English grammar and punctuation
  -   Ad build on Facebook and TikTok Ads manager preferable but not essential
  -   Marketplace experience with companies similar to Zalando.

    JOB TITLE: Senior Designer 

    LOCATION: Flexible on location

    JOB OVERVIEW

    We are seeking an experienced and creative womenswear senior designer who can take designs from concept through to completion. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent design skills, be highly creative and have a thorough understanding of contemporary fashion trends. The candidate will have a proven track record of trend identification, following design briefs, working with development and effectively managing projects. 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Generate fresh ideas and concepts for collections, using market research and trend analysis
    • Develop innovative conceptual products that are on trend and appeal to the target market 
    • Collaborate on design briefs and monitor progress of designs through the product life cycle 
    • Research and analyse fashion trends and develop product ranges to reflect them 
    • Interpret buyers’ briefs to determine design/concepts and specifications 
    • Monitor the market to identify trends and opportunities for design
    • Work with a wide range of fabric, textures and prints 
    • Liaise with other departments and external suppliers to produce products 
    • Prepare detailed sketches and samples for presentation or submission 
    • Stay up to date with market trends and attend trade shows and research trips 
    • Collaborate with product development and print teams to ensure product meets Motel standards 

     REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field
    • At least 5 years of experience as a womenswear designer, preferably within a similar market - youth womenswear 
    • Solid knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, with excellence in Illustrator and CAD
    • Experience in Photoshop and comfortable with working on prints
    • Able to conceptualise and direct on print as an essential 
    • Ability to create own prints, advantageous but not required
    • In-depth understanding of the fashion industry, with solid grasp on current and emerging trends
    • In-depth knowledge of fabric trims and construction, able to effectively advise sourcing and development teams 
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop strong relationships with key team members and vendors 
    • Detail oriented with high standards for quality  
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    JUNIOR DESIGNER

    JOB TITLE: Junior Fashion Designer 

    LOCATION: Flexible on location

     

    JOB OVERVIEW

    We are looking for a creative and highly motivated Junior Fashion Designer to join our team and help create innovative designs for our ever-moving brand. As a Junior Fashion Designer, you will be responsible for researching trends and supporting the design team in the development of collections. You will work closely with the senior designers creating trend boards, compiling research and assisting in design tech packs and handover. 

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Design sketches, swatch cards, fabric, patterns and trims for each project 
    • Prepare technical specifications and package designs for production 
    • Make design proposals, including styles, colour palettes, fabric selections, prints, trims and patterns 
    • Create accurate technical flats and specs using CAD applications 
    • Source fabrics, trims, and key components
    • Working with your senior designer to refine designs and select materials
    • Partnering with the development team to determine sourcing possibilities for materials
    • Supporting the senior designers in handover print and sample development communications with wider teams
    • Conducting market research to stay current with fashion trends

     

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in fashion design or related field
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Illustrator, Photoshop to a high standard
    • Able to support the print creation and development process
    • Knowledge of fashion trends and a strong eye for detail
    • Must send examples of their relevant work - moodboards and/or a portfolio of work are acceptable
